Lyrics

The Druids talked of times when the earth was alive and darkness was a night long prayer,
Where, forests filled with fantasy held treasure only visible to your mind,
Where pagan rythems guide you through the mountains to the memories where you´re childhood played,
To look upon the oceans of your heart and soul.......and find your peace of mind

Then the prophets came along with their structured songs, built up walls they called style.
They fed off mother nature and took her gifts for granted and the world got wild.
Then their structure was their system and their system told them what they did was right or wrong.
They bitched about the druids....they hid away their music....they lost their song,

It´s a bitter price to pay,
A bitter price to pay for freedom,
When the only lesson learned is how to stop a soul from dreaming,
The legacy you lay,
Will hold your answers and your reasons,
But it´s a bitter price to pay if your magic holds no meaning.

Still the puppets dance along to the puppet songs and hide away till dawn breaks through,
Then they scurry home along the road to fortresses they´ve built along the way,
It’s a bitter price to pay if you loose your dreams along the way and its hard to bring them home,
To the rythem in your heart that holds the answer to your happiness today

It´s a bitter price to pay,
A bitter price to pay for freedom,
When the only lesson learned is how to stop a soul from dreaming,
The legacy you lay,
Will hold your answers and your reasons,
But it´s a bitter price to pay if your magic holds no meaning.
